News about The Vampire Diaries Season 3

The Vampire Diaries will kick off its third season on September,15 with — yep, you guessed it — a big party! In the first episode it will be Elena's 18 birthday.

"Speaking of Elena, her love life, as expected/counted on, will only get supernaturally complicated. Over the course of the season, Elena will be struggling with a deep, deep attraction toward Damon. That’s going to be a big problem for her"- says exec producer Julie Plec.

Also we will have a new character,David Gallagher best known by TV fans for his run as 7th Heaven‘s Simon, Gallagher will appear in the first two episodes of the CW hit’s new season.
Playing werewolf Ray Sutton, he will have a grim run-in with Klaus in Tennessee.
